This project entailed the installation of underground chilled water piping systems throughout campus. The project also included the construction of a 2,800 square foot brick and block storage building, the removal of existing air handling units and cooling towers and the installation of new units and towers.
Access to the air handling units and cooling towers was only possible by crane, which is always challenging when working on an active campus. In addition, the trenching and installation of piping systems throughout campus required the rerouting of vehicle and pedestrian traffic and other measures to minimize disruptions to daily activities on campus.
