Cornerstone Baptist Church
Roseville, MI
MICCO served as construction managers for the construction of the parish’s new 75,000 square foot worship center. The main worship hall seats 2,300 people in stadium style seating with a balcony that seats an additional 750 people, for a total capacity of 3,050. The hall includes state-of-the-art production, sound, and lighting equipment.
The facility also includes a new library, class/meeting rooms, and a café. It was an addition to the congregation’s existing worship center, and construction was completed without shutting down services or operations.
Project challenges were faced early on when the originally lump sum bid project came in $2,000,000 over budget. The MICCO project team worked closely with the owner and architect representatives to find alternative solutions and conducted a thorough value-engineering analysis. Pre-engineering the structure alone saved the project $800,000. The MICCO team was able to bring the project in on-budget without jeopardizing program needs or design.
