Jewish Family Services Administration Building
West Bloomfield Township, MI
As construction managers for the United Jewish Foundation, MICCO is constructing the new 35,000 square foot Jewish Family Services Administration Building. Working with the project architect, Neumann/Smith, the project team explored numerous value-engineering ideas. This teamwork led to developing a plan to incorporate standard and pre-engineered building elements into a uniquely designed and efficiently constructed facility. Height restrictions required the second story to be incorporated into the roof structure, which is topped with unique architectural roof panels.
The facility houses a counseling center, general offices, and community outreach programs. The unique design creates various construction challenges that the MICCO project team and subcontractors have overcome with teamwork, communication, and by working closely with the design team.
