St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church
Livonia, MI
This project was a unique challenge revolving around the original contractor walking off the job. Along with the contractor left the confidence in the original lender that the project would be completed and completed for the original budget. The MICCO team was brought into the St. Mary’s project at 15% completion and performed a complete damage assessment due to the project sitting incomplete for months. The team also quickly delved into updating budgets, completing a value-engineering analysis and regained the confidence of a new financing service, Comerica Bank. Part of picking up the pieces included gaining the support of local sub trades to take on the partially completed structure and get the construction moving again.
Features of the project included ornate stonework completed by international stone masons, a gleaming copper dome, stunning and soaring barreled ceilings. With dedication and teamwork, the MICCO team completed the project on time and on budget.
